- My mother, Phyllis Johnson Crisp, was Alice B. Johnson’s niece. She cherished her copy of “Silver Threads” and I remember as I grew up this volume having a special place on her bookshelf. I hadn’t thought about the poetess for many years and happened upon a poem she wrote while I was scrolling through Pinterest looking forward children’s nursery rhymes and poems. I found your site but could not open it through Firefox. Just now, I tried with Safari and discovered your wonderful website. Now I am trying obtain a copy of Silver Threads and can’t find one anywhere. I’m hoping my sister has our mother’s copy because I would love dearly to add it to my collection of “heirlooms.” Thank you for compiling a little infoff ref Marion about my great poet aunt.
